Tengrinews.kz - The Head of State received a member of the US House of Representatives Carol Miller, according to a statement from Akorda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that this meeting is important for giving a new impetus to cooperation between the two states. According to him, since the first days of Kazakhstan's independence, the United States has been a reliable partner of our country.
The President of Kazakhstan noted joint achievements in such key areas as regional and international security, nuclear non-proliferation, as well as trade, economic and investment cooperation. He emphasized that trade turnover between the states demonstrates steady growth and has already exceeded the mark of 4 billion dollars.
In turn, the congresswoman thanked the President for the warm welcome and emphasized the interest of the United States in continuing a fruitful dialogue.
During the conversation, priority issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of energy and infrastructure projects, the development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, as well as the expansion of transport and logistics links between states.
In addition, an exchange of views took place on topical issues on the regional and international agenda.
Earlier, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Almassadam Satkaliyev and US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright held talks within the framework of the international energy conference CERAWeek 2025.
