Tengrinews.kz – The state visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Astana has concluded. Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev personally saw Aliyev off at the capital’s airport.
The Akorda press service reported this on Tuesday, October 21.
“The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, saw off the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, at the capital’s airport,” the statement said.
It should be recalled that Aliyev arrived in Kazakhstan on Monday, October 20, at the invitation of Tokayev, who personally greeted him upon arrival at Astana airport.
On Tuesday, an official welcoming ceremony for the Azerbaijani President took place at Akorda. The leaders held talks and attended the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

Following the bilateral negotiations and the Council meeting, Tokayev and Aliyev held a press briefing for media representatives.
During the briefing, Aliyev announced important news regarding cargo transit to Armenia. He said that Azerbaijan had lifted all restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia that had existed since the time of occupation, and that the first such shipment was Kazakh grain.
The Presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan also visited the International Artificial Intelligence Center Alem.ai, where they learned about the development of digital technologies and the application of AI.
