Tokayev: Our country is only at the beginning of a very difficult path

Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan is only at the beginning of a very difficult journey, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during a solemn ceremony dedicated to Republic Day, citing Akorda.

The head of state emphasized the importance of respecting and supporting the creative spirit of Kazakh citizens.

“Striving for high goals for the sake of the country must become an integral feature of our national character. Dreaming and setting goals is the right thing to do,” Tokayev noted.

At the same time, the President reminded that the current era is one of concrete action, urging citizens to contribute to the country’s progress and think about its future. He added that true patriotism means loyalty to the homeland not in words, but in deeds.

“Today our country is only at the beginning of a very difficult path. We must unite and support each other, get rid of such negative traits as envy and hostility. It is only in our hands to make Kazakhstan a strong, developed, and progressive state. We have enough resources and potential for this: our economy is stable, our land is fertile, our faith in a bright future is unwavering, and our people are undoubtedly skilled and talented,” Tokayev concluded.

Earlier, the President spoke at the Republic Day celebration, calling October 25 a sacred day for the nation.
