Tengrinews.kz – The President of Kazakhstan has sent a telegram of condolence to the Prime Minister of Canada, according to Akorda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his condolences to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in connection with the tragic death of innocent people as a result of a shooting at a high school in the town of Tumbler Ridge.
The President of Kazakhstan expressed solidarity with the people of Canada and conveyed words of sincere support to the families of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to all those injured.
It should be recalled that on 11 February a mass shooting took place in the Canadian province of British Columbia. As a result of the incidents, ten people were killed and another 25 were injured.
Six people were found dead in the building of Tumbler Ridge Secondary School. Another victim died on the way to the hospital. Two more bodies were discovered in a residential house. Police believe all the incidents are connected.
According to law enforcement agencies, the suspected shooter took his own life. His motives have not yet been disclosed.
