After the official ceremony, the presidents of Kazakhstan and Serbia held talks in a narrow format.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan considers Serbia a very important strategic partner in Europe.

“We have done a great deal to strengthen our cooperation in many areas, primarily in the economy, as well as in the humanitarian and cultural spheres. A direct flight between Astana and Belgrade has been launched, and our trade relations are developing very successfully. More than 60 Serbian companies are working productively in Kazakhstan. We share common approaches to key international issues. I believe we have created a solid and effective foundation for our cooperation. I am confident that your visit is extremely important in terms of giving additional momentum to our friendly relations,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during the meeting.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic noted that it was a great honor for him to visit Kazakhstan.

“I am grateful for your hospitality. I fully share your view that our countries are bound by truly strategic relations. I am deeply convinced that your words and your dedicated approach make a significant contribution to the development of our trade and economic ties. I am sure that our friendship will reach a new level thanks to strengthened cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, information technology, and energy. I would be pleased to welcome you to Serbia in the near future,” Aleksandar Vucic said during the conversation.

It should be noted that Aleksandar Vucic arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan on an official visit at the invitation of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

According to the Government of Kazakhstan, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Serbia in 2025 increased by 7.6 percent, exceeding 107 million dollars.
