Tokayev discusses Kazakhstan's collaboration with Microsoft

Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Michelle Simmons, President of Microsoft for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, to discuss Kazakhstan’s collaboration with Microsoft on IT industry development and building a robust ecosystem for startups, as reported by the Akorda press service.

Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Michelle Simmons, President of Microsoft for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, to discuss Kazakhstan’s collaboration with Microsoft on IT industry development and building a robust ecosystem for startups, as reported by the Akorda press service.

During the meeting, Tokayev was informed about the transformation of Microsoft’s Kazakhstan office into a multi-regional hub that serves Central Asia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Mongolia, and Pakistan.

“The President highlighted Kazakhstan’s ongoing work on AI legislation aimed at leveraging its potential for innovation and economic growth. A National AI Center is set to be established next year, which will serve as a foundation for the country’s digital transformation,” the statement said.
