Tengrinews.kz - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to a statement from Akorda.
Tokayev congratulated Erdogan on his birthday and wished him continued success in his leadership for the benefit of the Turkish people.
The two leaders highlighted the strong development of the expanded Kazakh-Turkish strategic partnership and discussed prospects for further strengthening bilateral relations.
Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, both presidents wished prosperity and well-being to the brotherly peoples of Kazakhstan and Turkey.
Tokayev and Erdogan agreed on mutual support
In November 2024, Tokayev met Erdogan in Baku, where he expressed his pleasure at the meeting and noted that 2024 marked the 30th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two nations.
At the time, Erdogan emphasized the strategic nature of Kazakh-Turkish relations and pointed to the significant potential for boosting trade and economic cooperation.
