Tengrinews.kz – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev broke a training board during a meeting with World Taekwondo (WT) President Chungwon Choue, according to Akorda.
Akorda published a video on its Telegram channel showing President Tokayev striking the board.
"The President signed the training board and then, at the request of Chungwon Choue, broke it in accordance with taekwondo traditions," the Akorda statement said.
Earlier today, the President of Kazakhstan awarded Chungwon Choue the Order of Dostyk, 2nd degree, for his significant contribution to the development of taekwondo worldwide.
In turn, the President of the World Taekwondo Federation, as a sign of deep respect, presented the Head of State with a 9th Dan black belt.
