Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced changes to the rules for using state symbols.
Speaking at the State Flag-raising ceremony at the Ethno-memorial complex Atameken in Astana, Tokayev noted that only true patriots lead the country toward progress and stand guard over its borders.
“In other words, patriotism serves as a guarantee of our country’s security and territorial integrity. Strengthening the authority of national symbols is a matter of state importance. In the near future, the government will introduce amendments to the resolution regulating the use of state symbols,” the Head of State said.
Tokayev emphasized that “honoring our national symbols is a common duty and responsibility of every citizen, which ultimately reflects respect for the state.”
Today, June 4, Kazakhstan celebrates the Day of State Symbols. The state symbols established by the Constitutional Law are the country’s distinctive signs.
Kazakhstan’s state symbols were adopted on June 4, 1992. They include the flag, the coat of arms and the anthem.
