Tengrinews.kz – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported on Saturday, November 15, by Akorda.
Tokayev expressed gratitude to Mirziyoyev for the invitation to visit Tashkent on a state visit, as well as for the warm welcome and traditional hospitality.
During the meeting, the heads of state thoroughly discussed further prospects for developing Kazakh–Uzbek strategic partnership and alliance.

The presidents reviewed issues of strengthening cooperation in such priority areas as trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, water resources, as well as interaction in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
There was also an exchange of views on current regional and international issues.
On Friday, November 14, Tokayev arrived in Tashkent on a state visit at the invitation of the Uzbek leader. The program of the visit includes one-on-one talks between the heads of state and their participation in a meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
On November 16, the President of Kazakhstan will take part in the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, which will also be held in Tashkent.
