Tengrinews.kz – The State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance has issued an important warning to Kazakhstanis.
Cases of telephone fraud have been recorded in Kazakhstan, in which unknown individuals pose as State Revenue Committee employees and mislead taxpayers. They claim that it is necessary to urgently confirm the type of activity, update registration data or undergo “mandatory verification” through mobile applications.
The fraudsters convince citizens to install third-party applications, follow links and log in. In some cases, they ask people to enter SMS codes, electronic digital signature data, passwords and bank details.
“For example, fraudsters may say that it is necessary to download the e-Salyq mobile application or other apps to ‘confirm activity every two years,’ threatening to suspend business activity,” the State Revenue Committee reported.
The agency emphasized that this information is false and is part of a fraudulent scheme.
“The State Revenue Committee does not make such calls, does not require people by phone to install mobile applications, provide confirmation codes, bank card details, electronic digital signature keys, passwords or follow third-party links,” the statement said.
Kazakhstanis are urged to verify information only through official sources and not to share personal data with unknown individuals.
