The nesting season for whooper swans has begun in Burabay National Park. These rare birds, listed in Kazakhstan’s Red Book, return each year to the region’s lakes to raise their young.

Their arrival is seen as a positive indicator of the region’s ecological health. Park specialists report that the swans have already started building their nests, with chicks expected to hatch in the coming months.

"The preservation of their population depends on all of us. Let’s support environmental initiatives and take care of our rich natural heritage!" the park shared via its official Instagram account.

Previously, the Burabay National Park shared a video of whooper swans bidding farewell to Lake Borovoe.
