Tengrinews.kz - The reference control bank of regulatory legal acts has published an order that abolishes state regulation of gasoline and diesel fuel prices.
The order "On recognizing some orders of the Ministry of Energy as invalid" was signed by Minister of Energy Almassadam Satkaliyev.
Earlier, Satkaliyev reported that fuel prices in Kazakhstan will increase in the near future.
"For fuel and lubricants, we expect a preliminary smooth increase starting in February of this year, and for liquefied gas - in the near future. For commercial gas, we expect the first price increase for market participants in the summer," the minister explained.
The minister also named the approximate frequency with which prices will increase.
"We will proceed from the inflation corridor set by the Ministry of Economy. It is difficult to say now what the exact price of gasoline will increase to, but it will be a smooth increase. There is no clear algorithm: perhaps once a week or once a month. A lot depends on our negotiations with both experts and market participants," the official added.
Recall: The state regulated prices only for AI-92 gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas.
