Shooting occurred near the Grand Park shopping mall in Almaty

Tengrinews.kz - On the evening of December 24, a shooting occurred near the Grand Park shopping and entertainment complex in Almaty. Eyewitnesses reported the incident on social media.

"There was a shooting near Grand Park. People were injured. Police and ambulances have arrived," wrote one of the witnesses.

According to the press service of the Almaty Police Department, a report was received on the 102 hotline about gunshots heard on Kabdolov Street.

"Patrol officers promptly detained an 18-year-old man who was found to have a signal pistol, which was confiscated. A criminal case has been initiated for hooliganism by the Auezov District Police Department," the agency commented on the incident.
