Tengrinews.kz – In the first month of autumn, Kazakhstanis will get an extra day off thanks to the celebration of Constitution Day. Tengrinews.kz has prepared a convenient calendar so you can plan your leisure time in advance.

Usually, September passes without public holidays, but this year will bring a pleasant exception. Since Constitution Day, August 30, falls on a Saturday, residents of the country will have an additional day off on Monday, September 1.

How Kazakhstanis will rest in September 2025

Five-day workweek

In September, Kazakhstanis will have a short workweek at the very beginning of the month:

  • September 1 – day off;
  • September 2 – working day.

In total, September will have 9 days off and 21 working days.

Six-day workweek

For those working six days a week, September 1 will be a working day. The month will include 4 days off and 26 working days.

Professional holidays in September

Traditionally, several professional dates are celebrated in September:

  • September 6 – Hunter’s Day (first Saturday of September);
  • September 7 – Oil and Gas Industry Workers' Day (first Sunday of September);
  • September 14 – Instrumentation and Automation Workers’ Day (second Sunday of September);
  • September 15 – Sanitary and Epidemiological Service Worker’s Day;
  • September 28 – Day of Nuclear Worker;
  • September 30 – Day of Justice Bodies Employees;
  • September 28 – Machine Builder’s Day (last Sunday of September).
