The incident occurred near a recreational area.
"In Abay district, four kilometers from the village of Topar, near the 'Tikhiy Zaliv' recreation zone, MES workers assisted a saiga that had wandered into a restricted area, got stuck in the snow, and was unable to move on its own," the ministry reported.
Rescuers noted that the animal was extremely frightened. They freed it from the snowdrift and guided it to a safe location.
The ministry emphasized that every life matters to them.
