This October, Kazakhstanis will enjoy an additional day off due to Republic Day, which has been a public holiday since 2022. The holiday, first established in 1990, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration on the State Sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR (Soviet Socialist Republic).
The holiday falls on a Friday this year, allowing many citizens to enjoy a three-day weekend, with consecutive days off on October 25, 26, and 27 for those working a five-day week.
