Tengrinews.kz - Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov stated that all government agencies should work on the principle of "zero bureaucracy."

During the government meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized that there are currently a number of problematic issues that need to be addressed.

"First, government agencies are insufficiently efficient in developing investment projects. We see examples where promising initiatives are slowed down due to lengthy approvals of bureaucratic barriers or lack of interdepartmental cooperation. I recently held a meeting on investment climate issues. Decisions that had been delayed for a long time were made on the spot . All government agencies should work on the principle of 'zero bureaucracy,'" Bektenov said.

In addition, Bektenov emphasized the lack of long-term loans for businesses.

"Banks prefer short-term and low-risk lending. And the real sector needs accessible and long-term financial resources," he noted.

Previously, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that the government must eliminate excessive bureaucracy and work more efficiently.
