The Head of State made this statement during his speech at the conference "Sustainable Development and Security in the Eurasian Space," which was held in Astana on September 30.
President Tokayev informed the conference participants about the large-scale transformations taking place in all areas of public life in Kazakhstan.
In his view, a key innovation of the political reforms was the inclusion in the Constitution of a provision limiting of the presidential mandate to a single seven-year term.
"There is no such practice in any country of the post-Soviet space or beyond. One seven-year presidential term, in my opinion, is sufficient to implement the electoral program and reforms. I am convinced that there should be a dictatorship of law and order in our country. This is necessary for successful reforms and attracting investments into the economy. Law and order is the foundation for building a Just Kazakhstan. The demand for justice has always existed, and Kazakhstan is no exception. All our reforms are irreversible; no one will be able to stop or cancel them," said the President.

Recall, in June 2024, during a ceremony honoring media workers, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev commented on the single seven-year presidential term. The President stated that Kazakhstan has entered a new stage of development. He emphasized that one of the most important initiatives is the introduction of a single seven-year presidential term.
"This decision has special political significance. It has become a key step in establishing new standards of public governance. Reforms and transformations will continue. The most important thing is that all changes are made at the will of the people. Therefore, we will never turn back and will only move forward. We have established a new economic course. In short, we are consistently working towards becoming a leading country," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated earlier.
Earlier, President Tokayev ratified the agreement between the governments of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States.
