President Tokayev congratulates Emomali Rahmon on his birthday

Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon, according to Akorda.

During the call, the two leaders noted the steady development of Kazakh-Tajik relations, which continue to show positive momentum across all areas of cooperation.

The heads of state discussed further steps to expand collaboration in the trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also congratulated Emomali Rahmon on his birthday, wishing him continued success in his responsible service to the brotherly people of Tajikistan.

The President of Kazakhstan emphasized his high regard for Rahmon’s personal contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries.

The leaders also reviewed the upcoming schedule of bilateral contacts.

Emomali Rahmon was born on October 5, 1952 — he turns 73 today. He became President of Tajikistan in 1994 and, since 2016, holds the title of "Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation."
