It is reported that Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will visit educational, cultural, and sports facilities as well as industrial enterprises.

The programme of the visit also includes familiarization with investment projects being implemented in the region.

As Kasyim-Jomart Tokayev noted, for centuries, Turkestan has been an important political center and the capital of the state.
The President's working visit to the Turkestan region began with a visit to the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.
The head of state honored the memory of the significant poet, thinker, and spiritual teacher Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, who is important to the entire Turkic world, along with other notable historical figures buried in the mausoleum.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the comprehensive scientific research works being conducted at the mausoleum, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Additionally, during his visit to the Turkestan region, the head of state visited the ice palace. The facility, built to modern standards, provides year-round conditions for sports disciplines such as short track, figure skating, and hockey.
The venue is equipped with equipment from Italy, Canada, Germany, and Finland. A special technology allows for changing the shape of the rink. This way, multiple sports can be practiced simultaneously on the ice.
"During the visit to the ice palace, the President was shown the skills of young trainees, followed by a meeting with athletes and coaches. The President noted that he always supports domestic athletes, keeps track of their achievements, and wished them good luck. The hockey players of the local club Turan Tigers presented the Head of State with the team's jersey," the Akorda press service reported.
In accordance with the Comprehensive Plan for the Socio-Economic Development of the region for 2021-2025, a stadium "Turkestan Arena," a multifunctional sports complex "Olympic Center," a sports complex named after Bekzat Sattarkhanov, the football academy "Turan," seven outdoor tennis courts, and a 51-kilometer bicycle path have been constructed in the regional center.

Previously, President Tokayev ratified the agreement between the governments of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States.
