Tengrinews.kz – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to Governor General Mary Simon on the occasion of Canada Day, according to Akorda.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that this significant day symbolizes the unity and cohesion of the Canadian people and serves as a foundation for the country’s sustainable development and a high standard of living for its citizens.
The Head of State wished the Governor General success in her responsible duties, and well-being and prosperity to the people of Canada.
In early May, Tokayev also sent a telegram to the Prime Minister of Canada. The President of Kazakhstan congratulated Mark Carney on the victory of the Liberal Party in the federal elections. Recall that Mark Carney assumed the post of Prime Minister of Canada on March 14 following the resignation of Justin Trudeau. A week later, he announced early parliamentary elections.
