Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has demanded bold decisions from the National Bank and government.
As the Head of State emphasized, the planning and execution of the state budget largely depend on the effectiveness of measures to control inflation.
"The National Bank and the government must make bold, unconventional, but well-thought-out decisions. In the face of rapidly changing global economic conditions, the time for acting according to templates has passed. Therefore, the measures taken must address new, serious challenges," said the President during the expanded government meeting.
An extended government meeting is taking place in Astana with the participation of the Head of State. Officials will review the country's socio-economic development results for 2024 and outline key priorities for the near future. Presentations will be given by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, National Bank Chairman Timur Suleimenov, and several regional akims (governors).
