Baiterek

Baiterek is one of Astana’s main symbols, representing the new era of Kazakhstan. It stands 97 meters tall, symbolizing the year 1997 when the capital was moved to Astana. Inside the tower, there is an elevator that takes visitors to an observation deck offering a breathtaking view of the city. Inside, you’ll find a gilded hand print of Kazakhstan’s first president, Nursultan Nazarbayev. According to legend, if you place your hand on the imprint and make a wish, it will come true.

EXPO-2017 (Nur Alem)

Nur Alem is a 100-meter-tall sphere with an 80-meter diameter, built specifically for the international exhibition EXPO-2017. It has become a symbol of sustainable energy and progress. Inside, there is a museum dedicated to renewable energy sources, featuring interactive exhibits showcasing solar, wind, hydro, and thermal energy. It is one of the most modern and technological museums in the country.

Palace of Peace and Reconciliation

The Pyramid was designed by the famous architect Norman Foster and symbolizes harmony, friendship, and unity among nations. Inside, you’ll find conference halls, an opera house, and a museum dedicated to the world’s various religions. The building hosts the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and other international events. The upper hall under the glass roof represents an oasis of light and peace.

Khan Shatyr

Khan Shatyr is a massive shopping and entertainment center resembling a giant tent. The building was also designed by Norman Foster. Under its dome, you’ll find shops, cafes, restaurants, and even a tropical beach with heated water and sand brought from the Maldives. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy rides, or simply stroll around.

Hazret Sultan Mosque

This majestic mosque is one of the largest in Central Asia and can accommodate up to 10,000 people at once. The building features a classic Islamic architectural style with modern elements. National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Triumphal Arch "Mangilik El"

The "Mangilik El" Arch symbolizes Kazakhstan’s independence and is a significant architectural landmark in Astana. The arch stands 20 meters tall and is adorned with bas-reliefs depicting Kazakh culture and history. It also hosts important state events and ceremonies.

Central Park of Astana

Duman Oceanarium

The Aquarium of the Entertainment Centre "Duman" is a unique complex in Central Asia, home to thousands of marine creatures, including sharks, rays, and exotic fish. Visitors can walk through a glass tunnel surrounded by water and feel as if they’re in the ocean. It’s a great place for family visits and exploring the underwater world.

Presidential Park

The 5th World Nomad Games will soon be held in Astana. The Argymak Hippodrome in Astana is actively preparing to welcome guests from all over the world. Athletes and teams from over 80 countries will participate, competing in traditional sports. Hosting the Games in Astana is a significant step in promoting Kazakhstan's cultural heritage on the global stage.
