Tengrinews.kz - A recent inspection by the Kyzylorda region prosecutor’s office revealed significant issues in the provision of medications under the guaranteed volume of free medical assistance.

The audit found that over 7,000 residents of the region were not provided with the necessary medications. In Kyzylorda’s clinics, more than 1,000 children were inappropriately prescribed medications without proper consideration of their age. Additionally, 170 people received insulin without a medical prescription. It was also discovered that 68 units of medical drugs were improperly stored, leading to two patients receiving medications past their expiration date.

The inspection also uncovered that 19 staff members across 14 medical facilities were involved in illegal pharmaceutical activities. As a result of these violations, the prosecutor's office has issued supervisory acts, and 93 individuals have been held accountable.
