One third of Russian citizens consider Kazakhstan the most Russia-friendly

Russian citizens included Kazakhstan into the list of top 5 Russia-friendly countries, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing the results of a social poll made by experts of Levada-Center. Russian citizens consider Belarus the most friendly country. 35 percent of respondents voted for it. 33 percent of respondents tagged Kazakhstan the most friendly to Russia. 21 percent voted for Ukraine, 20 percent gave their voted for Germany and 18 percent of Russian citizens supported China. 5 least friendly countries include Georgia (50 percent of respondents), Latvia (35 percent), lithuania (34 percent), USA (33 percent) and Estonia (30 percent). The survey also showed that 84 percent of Russian citizens have a friendly attitude towards Germany. Besides, lots of positive feedbacks were registered towards Japan and Israel (70 percent each). 74 percent of Russian citizens think that Russia has to work on strengthening its relations with the USA. 62 percent of respondents talked about expansion of relations between Russian with the Islamic world. The survey was made by Levada-Center in the middle of May. The poll covered 1,600 people in 130 cities of 45 country regions.
