Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan's National Museum is interested in some assets returned to the country, according to the Company Managing Returned Assets.

In particular, the art institution was interested in 10 artifacts that are on the balance sheet of the company managing returned assets. It is noted that the artifacts may have historical and cultural value, so it is impossible to determine the market value of the items.

The company also reported that earlier, employees of the National Museum examined and conducted a laboratory analysis of the artifacts. After the analysis, the institution applied to the management company with a request to transfer the items to the museum fund.

"The management company is considering the issue of transferring them to the Committee of State Property and Privatization of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the aim of their subsequent transfer to the National Museum," the company said in a statement.

If the artifacts are transferred to the museum, their scientific study will continue.

On December 11, an administrative building associated with Bolat Nazarbayev was sold at an auction in Almaty with returned assets. It was also reported that a production base in Almaty was sold at an electronic auction.

Read about the exhibition "Kazakhstan: Treasures of the Great Steppe" which opened at the Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts in Paris, showcasing valuable artifacts in a modern and innovative format to an international audience for the first time.
