One of the reasons for such an increase in statistics was previously explained by the Chairman of the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Kaisar Sultanbaev. Now the statistics include all cases when accident participants sought medical assistance, regardless of the presence of harm to health.
Previously, only cases of confirmed medical harm to health were registered.
"Now all accidents that resulted in people seeking medical attention are included in the records, regardless of whether there was harm to health or not," explained law enforcement representative Sultanbayev.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that they had considered the issue of road safety, which is relevant, especially in the context of the growing number of cars, increased traffic density and the need to improve infrastructure.
"Over the past year, over 30 thousand traffic accidents have been registered. Taking into account the shortcomings, law enforcement officers have been instructed to step up work with road organizations, local executive bodies to improve the safety of road infrastructure, and also to ensure targeted work with malicious violators of traffic rules using digital capabilities," Polisia.kz reported.
