Tengrinews.kz - In Aktau, newly installed underground waste containers have collapsed into the ground, citing Lada.kz.
The incident occurred in the 19th microdistrict near the "Rakhat-2" residential complex. According to residents, heavy rainfall caused soil erosion, leading to the collapse of the new underground waste containers.
The Aktau akimat (local government administration) press service stated that the municipal utilities department is addressing the issue. The department has instructed the contractor responsible for the project to restore the area to its original state.
Authorities have already placed safety barriers around the affected site. Officials assured that restoration work will begin once weather conditions stabilize.
The name of the contractor and the budget allocated for the installation of these containers have not yet been disclosed.
