Tengrinews.kz — Astana is preparing for the mass lighting of New Year’s trees: on December 19 at 6:00 p.m., lights will turn on simultaneously at more than 40 festive sites across all districts of the city.
According to the city akimat, all winter events this year are united under a single concept — Ertegi Fest.
“Residents and guests of Astana will be immersed in a true winter fairy tale with illumination, themed installations, ice activities, and cozy public spaces. Installation works for skating rinks, slides, small architectural forms, photo zones, and other elements began in early December and will be completed in stages by the second half of the month,” the akimat press service said.
The akimat also reported that on December 19 at 6:00 p.m., more than 40 New Year’s trees will be lit simultaneously in six districts of the capital.
“All locations will offer a wide range of entertainment: ice skating rinks, slides, small architectural forms, photo zones, and much more. Concert programs will start at 5:30 p.m. at all major venues,” the statement said.
Nura District
In Nura District, trees will be lit at 11 locations. The main site will be the parking area near Astana Arena Stadium, where a 25-meter tree has been installed.
