Tengrinews.kz - The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has approved amendments to the order "On the approval of the list of professional holidays."
According to the document, new holidays have been added in Kazakhstan:
- Day of Financial Monitoring Bodies – January 28;
- Day of Sea and River Transport Workers – the first Sunday in July;
- Day of Railway Transport – the first Sunday in August;
- Day of Workers in the Sphere of Control and Measuring Instruments and Automation –the second Sunday in September;
- Day of Workers in Technical and Vocational, Post-Secondary Education – October 2;
- Day of Automobile Transport Workers – the last Sunday in October;
- Day of Workers in the Sphere of Accounting and Auditing – November 10;
- Day of the Penal System – December 13.
Additionally, the National Press Day and Radio Day have been excluded from the list as these holidays are now established by the government resolution from August 16, 2024, No. 668.
