Tengrinews.kz – Children's Ombudsman Dinara Zakiyeva announced on social media that child rights protection departments will be established within regional akimats (local governments) across Kazakhstan.
According to Zakiyeva, additional departments dedicated to protecting children's interests will also be opened in district-level akimats.
She explained that the implementation of this initiative has been underway for nearly a year with the support of State Counselor Erlan Karin and the Presidential Administration, in collaboration with the Department of Internal Policy and the Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights.
"The most important news for child protection: every regional akimat will establish a child rights protection department, and district-level departments will also be created," Dinara Zakiyeva wrote on her social media page.
