President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated all the citizens of Kazakhstan on Easter, official presidential Akorda website reports. “Kazakhstan is a multiethnic and multicultural country whose major advantage is peace and accord among the peoples and religions. Kazakhstan has long had a good tradition of celebrating together such holidays as Nauryz, Qurban Ait, Christmas, Oraza Ait and Easter. Cultures of all the ethnoses are blossoming and being mutually enriched in the Kazakh land,” Nazarbayev said. “On the occasion of this holiday I would like to mark the creative role of religions in strengthening moral principles and family values in our society. Our unity is based on high ethical principles appealing tolerance, humanity and mercy,” President said. According to the President it is a responsibility of even good citizen who loves his Kazakhstan to help preserve spiritual and cultural values, protect and strengthen the unity of people and stability in the country. In the end of his Easter appeal Nursultan Nazarbayev wished everyone all the best, good health and wellbeing. “May the ways of peace and accord be followed in every family of our common home – the Republic of Kazakhstan!" President concluded.
