Tengrinews.kz - Criminal cases have been opened against employees of mobile operators for assisting fraudsters, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
"Four cases have been initiated against employees of Beeline, Tele2, and their distributors under Articles 211 and 254 of the Criminal Code. Two cases are in the West Kazakhstan region, and one each in Karaganda and Almaty," the statement said.
It was noted that they provided services to fraudsters by registering thousands of SIM cards.
Previously, the State Technical Service (STS) issued a warning to Kazakhstanis regarding calls from numbers starting with +870.
