Tengrinews.kz – The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed Kazakhstanis about the consequences of disobedience to authorities, citing Polisia.kz.
"Dear citizens! Ensuring the principle of 'Law and Order' in the country is our common goal. This is crucial for maintaining public order and protecting the rights of law-abiding citizens. Any violation of the law must inevitably be met with punishment. In this regard, the Internal Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is taking all necessary measures to protect the lives and health of law enforcement officers.
Unfortunately, incidents of disobedience to authorities have become more frequent recently. In 2024, 271 such cases were recorded. Among them, 127 offenders were intoxicated, 87 had prior convictions, and 19 resisted in groups," said Deputy Head of the Internal Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Altynbek Shuynshaliev.
It was noted that 225 citizens have been convicted for using violence against police officers. For example, a resident of the Terekti district in the West Kazakhstan region was sentenced to five years in prison. After a domestic dispute with his wife, the man attacked two police officers with a knife, inflicting injuries on their forearms and hands.
Another incident occurred at the Kandyagash station in the Aktobe region. A passenger on the Astana–Atyrau train, after consuming alcohol, physically resisted patrol inspectors. For causing bodily harm, the man was sentenced to four years in prison.
"The police ensure the protection of life, health, rights, and freedoms of citizens, as well as the legitimate interests of society. Without respect for legal norms, it is impossible to build a just Kazakhstan. We urge citizens to follow the law, avoid acts of disobedience toward authorities, and refrain from insulting them. We remind you that such actions carry both administrative and criminal liability," said Altynbek Shuynshaliev.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs had warned Kazakhstanis about the risks of fraud involving artificial intelligence and targeted advertising.
