Ministry of Internal Affairs exposed criminal schemes of illegal migration

Tengrinews.kz - Criminal groups specializing in illegal migrants have been suppressed in several regions of Kazakhstan, according to Polisia.kz.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported that systematic work is being carried out to prevent the infiltration of various criminal elements and terrorist cells into the country by halting illegal migration channels.

In the Turkestan and Zhambyl regions, the activities of three criminal groups involved in organizing the illegal migration of foreign nationals through document falsification and forgery have been stopped.

In the West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions, an investigation is underway against individuals who illegally transported foreigners to a neighboring country through rough terrain.

In Kyzylorda, a group acting as intermediaries for the creation of forged documents for the illegal stay of foreigners in the country has been arrested.

"More than 20 individuals are being held criminally liable for these actions, and they face punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 7 years with confiscation of property. Efforts to dismantle illegal migration channels are ongoing," said Kuandyk Alpys, the representative of the Department of Combating Organized Crime of MIA.

Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan plans to simplify the rules for the deportation of foreigners who have violated the country's migration laws.
