Tengrinews.kz - The Ministry of Health’s Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of Kazakhstan has confirmed that circulating reports about upcoming mass restrictions related to COVID-19 are false.

"The information circulating on social media about the introduction of quarantine restrictions and a mandatory mask mandate for everyone starting from September 15 is not true," the committee's press release stated.

The ministry clarified that while preventive measures will be taken during the epidemic season, including flu vaccinations starting on September 15, mask requirements will only apply to healthcare workers.

The COVID-19 situation remains under control, and the ministry urged citizens to rely on official sources for accurate information.

The ministry’s press service also addressed false claims about overcrowded COVID-19 hospitals in Almaty, where it was alleged that many patients are on ventilators. The ministry emphasized that these reports are not accurate and urged citizens to trust only verified information from official sources.
