Tengrinews.kz – On the eve of Republic Day, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded the nation’s highest honor to a miner and an agricultural worker, the Akorda press service reports.
For outstanding achievements in professional activity and a special contribution to the development of the agro-industrial and mining sectors, the highest national title, “Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan”, along with the Golden Star and the Order of Otan, was awarded to:
- Murat Kenesovich Karazhumanov, mechanizer of KT “Mambetov and K” in the North Kazakhstan Region;
- Sergey Petrovich Chernobay, head of the Shakhtinskaya Mine site of Qarmet JSC in the Karaganda Region.
Earlier, the President signed a decree awarding state honors to citizens who have made significant contributions to the country’s development - including labor veterans, workers, entrepreneurs, teachers, scientists, doctors, military personnel, police officers, athletes, and cultural figures.
In addition, Tokayev signed a decree awarding the 2025 State Prizes in the field of science and technology named after al-Farabi and in humanities named after Akhmet Baitursynuly.
