Macron writes in Kazakh about call with Tokayev

Tengrinews.kz - French President Emmanuel Macron published a post in Kazakh on X, where he spoke about his conversation with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

“I have just spoken by phone with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev,” Macron wrote.

“We discussed issues of strategic cooperation, particularly in transport and energy, building on my visit to Kazakhstan in 2023 and President Tokayev’s state visit to France last year,” he added.

The French leader also noted that he discussed with the Kazakh president the international situation, including “the war between Russia and Ukraine and ongoing negotiations in the South Caucasus.”

President Tokayev visited France in November 2024. President Macron welcomed Tokayev with a post on X written in Kazakh as well.
