Tengrinews.kz - A major fire broke out on the night of July 8 on Likharev Street in Ust-Kamenogorsk, engulfing a one-story building. Firefighters responded to the scene under an elevated emergency alert, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
The fire was fully extinguished, covering an area of 2,450 square meters.
“An incident command post has been established at the scene. A continuous water supply has been arranged. The operation is being led by Rashid Blyalov, head of the East Kazakhstan Emergency Department. The firefighting effort was complicated by heavy smoke, high temperatures, and significant fire load,” the MES stated.
No injuries were reported.
The MES also shared footage of the firefighting efforts.
Earlier, a fire broke out in a nine-story residential building in Astana’s Almaty district.
