Tengrinews.kz - Land plots valued at over 219 million tenge have been returned to the state in the Kostanay region, according to the regional prosecutor’s office.
The Uzunkol district prosecutor’s office identified violations in land use regulations.
“In 2023-2024, the district prosecutor issued seven supervisory orders to the akimat (local government administration). As a result, 13,600 hectares of land were returned to state ownership, with a cadastral value exceeding 219 million tenge,” the statement said.
This year, following the prosecutor’s initiative, inspections have been launched on an additional 56 plots covering 5,600 hectares.
Earlier, in March, Kazakhstan reclaimed a unique lake in the north of the country with a cadastral value of 26.7 billion tenge.
