The President of Kazakhstan thanked Sadyr Japarov for the invitation to pay an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
“I am convinced that this visit will give new impetus to the development of friendly relations between our two countries. Kazakhs and Kyrgyz are brotherly peoples. We share a common history, close traditions, and worldview. For centuries, our two nations have lived in the foothills of the Alatau in peace and harmony. Today, our cooperation is dynamically developing in the spirit of strategic partnership. We have strengthened political dialogue at all levels, based on mutual respect. Interstate, inter-parliamentary, and intergovernmental councils are functioning successfully, and interregional ties have been established. Overall, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have built a solid, multifaceted cooperation,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Head of State noted the significant contribution of the President of Kyrgyzstan to strengthening bilateral relations.
“Thanks to your tireless efforts, positive changes are taking place in Kyrgyzstan. You are implementing important initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of the people. A vivid confirmation of this is the growth of the country’s economy by 11.7% since the beginning of the year. We welcome the achievements of brotherly Kyrgyzstan and attach great importance to further strengthening cooperation,” Tokayev said.
Sadyr Japarov thanked the Head of State for accepting the invitation and visiting Bishkek on an official visit.
“You are known in Kyrgyzstan as an outstanding statesman and an experienced diplomat of international stature. We are very pleased that in recent years, with your direct support, bilateral cooperation has reached a qualitatively new level, and our friendly and brotherly relations have become even stronger. We hold the Kazakh people in special respect. We are bound by common historical roots. We follow the legacy of our ancestors – Toktogul and Abai, Chingiz and Mukhtar. We strive to pass our historical heritage on to future generations. For my part, I express readiness to further develop our relations. Our main strength lies in the solidarity and unity of our two countries,” emphasized the President of Kyrgyzstan.
During the talks, the sides discussed strengthening cooperation in political, transport and transit, energy, water, agricultural, and digital spheres.
Special attention was given to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties. The regional and international agenda was also considered.
It should be noted that on August 22, in Bishkek, at the Yntymak Ordo residence, a welcoming ceremony was held for Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Presidents of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan greeted each other, and the national anthems of both countries were played.
After the report of the commander of the honor guard, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Sadyr Japarov reviewed the guard of honor.
The leaders then introduced the members of their official delegations and proceeded to the meeting hall for talks.
On August 22, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic began with a visit to the Ata-Beyit National Historical and Memorial Complex.
The Head of State laid flowers at the monument to the victims of the tragic events of 1916, located on the territory of the memorial complex, and also honored the memory of the outstanding Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov.
