Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet has published a warning on its official website for residents of Taldykorgan.
The information concerns the air quality forecast for the coming Thursday.
“On April 23, unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in the city of Taldykorgan,” the statement said.
Unfavorable meteorological conditions in the form of air pollution refer to a combination of short-term weather factors — calm conditions, light wind, fog, and inversion — that contribute to the accumulation of harmful pollutants in the surface layer of the atmosphere.
According to forecasters, Taldykorgan is expected to see partly cloudy weather on Thursday, with rain and thunderstorms during the day. Northwesterly wind at 3–8 meters per second. Air temperature: 11–13°C at night and 20–22°C during the day.
Earlier, Kazhydromet issued the nationwide weather forecast for April 23, 24, and 25. It said that a cyclone moving from the Moscow region and the atmospheric fronts associated with it would bring unstable weather across the country.
Rain with thunderstorms is forecast, with periods of heavy rain in some areas. Hail and squalls are possible in parts of Kazakhstan. Stronger winds are also expected, along with fog during the night and morning hours.
