Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan residents will enjoy an extended New Year holiday period in January 2025 due to an official transfer of a workday, providing a four-day break. Tengrinews has prepared a helpful calendar for planning the festive season and workdays.
December 2024 and January 2025 holiday schedule
- December 2024: For those on a five-day workweek, there will be 10 days off, including a three-day break for Independence Day on December 14, 15, and 16.
- December 30 and 31: Regular workdays, so early preparations for New Year’s celebrations are recommended.
- January 2025: A total of 11 days off, including New Year and other holidays.
January 2025 holiday adjustment
To extend the New Year break, the workday originally scheduled for Friday, January 3, has been moved to Sunday, January 5.
January 2025 calendar
- January 1-4: Public holidays for New Year.
- January 5 (Sunday) and January 6: Workdays.
- January 7: Public holiday for Orthodox Christmas.
- January 8-10: Workdays.
- January 11-12: Weekend.
