Kazakhstan’s airlines Air Astana and SCAT are thinking of launching new flights from Astana and Almaty to major cities of the world, Transport Minister Berik Kamaliyev told during the online conference at Bnews.kz. “Before the end of the year we plan to launch new flights from Astana and Almaty to Kiyev and Hong Kong”, Mr. Kamaliyev elaborated. SCAT airline is expected to launch flights to Sanya Hainan Island, U-Tapao, Sharm el-Sheikh, Hana. Besides, the Ministry is working to accommodate international flights of foreign airlines. “In June we signed a memorandum with Air France in Paris to launch a direct Astana-Paris flight. The Ministry is also working to launch flights to Prague and Seoul”, according to Kamaliyev.
