Tengrinews.kz – The service for processing personal documents will become available online for Kazakhstanis.
The relevant order was signed by the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry.
The services will be provided through the e-government portal and mobile applications.
“The project was developed as part of the implementation of the Law ‘On Public Services’ to improve the process, increase the efficiency of public service delivery, and enhance the quality of service for issuing passports and identity cards to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The goal of the project is to transition the provision of the public service ‘Issuance of passports and identity cards to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan,’ specifically for ID card renewal due to expiration, into an online format as an alternative to the existing procedure until March 1, 2026,” the order states.
It is noted that the implementation of the project will not require financial costs.
The project has been posted on the "Open NPA" portal for public discussion until March 19.
