Tengrinews.kz — A new digital platform was recently launched in Kazakhstan designed to assist citizens with overdue debts across multiple banks or microfinance organizations. Over 5,000 borrowers have already filed applications for collective debt restructuring, citing Fingramota.kz.

Amidst this development, intermediaries have emerged offering paid assistance with application filings and procedure management, even promising to expedite the process or guarantee approval.

"Remember: applications must be submitted independently via the official website finkelisim.kz, and intermediaries cannot influence creditors' decisions or the terms of settlement. Do not share documents, confirmation codes, or personal account access with third parties," Kazakhstanis were warned.

As a reminder: the platform was developed by the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market in collaboration with the First Credit Bureau, based on the banking and microfinance ombudsmen. It allows borrowers to submit a single application instead of contacting each financial institution individually, resulting in a unified payment schedule for up to 5 years (and up to 7 years for vulnerable groups). While the agreement is in effect, debt collection is suspended.
