Tengrinews.kz - Starting September 1, 2025, stipends for students in Kazakhstan will once again be increased. The announcement was made by Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education Gulzat Kobenova.
According to the vice minister, the measure continues a systemic approach to supporting students.
“This year, we have once again provided for an increase in stipends. Compared to 2020, their size has effectively doubled,” Kobenova said at a Central Communications Service briefing.
Beginning in September, monthly stipends will amount to:
- 52,372 tenge for undergraduate students
- 84,000 tenge for students in teaching programs
- 117,098 tenge for master’s students
- 262,500 tenge for doctoral students
Previously, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs proposed making road safety lessons a separate mandatory subject in the school curriculum.
