Kazakhstan to introduce six new professional holidays

Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan will add six new professional holidays to its national calendar, according to a draft order proposed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

The new holidays will include:

• Entrepreneur's Day
• Artisan’s Day
• Public Utilities Sector Workers’ Day
• Sanitary and Epidemiological Service Workers’ Day
• Human Resources Workers’ Day
• Food Service Industry Workers’ Day

In addition, the date of Power Engineers' Day will be revised. Instead of being observed on the third Sunday of December, it will now be celebrated annually on December 22.

Earlier, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection confirmed that Kazakhstanis will have an additional public holiday in June 2025.
