Tengrinews.kz - The government has reviewed the situation on the fuel market, with officials reporting that conditions remain stable across Kazakhstan, citing the government's press service.

First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar chaired the meeting, which focused on ensuring steady fuel supplies to the domestic market and tightening oversight of petroleum product flows in border regions. According to the Energy Ministry, reserves are sufficient and there are no risks of shortages at this stage.

As a result of the discussions, authorities were instructed to draft a plan to prevent the illegal export of fuel abroad. Border checks will be reinforced, with closer monitoring of freight traffic and regional fuel consumption.

“The government’s top priority is to meet domestic demand. Price gaps and logistical issues must not be allowed to create shortages,” Sklyar stressed.

The government added that the matter is under strict government control. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Energy, Finance, and Internal Affairs ministries, the Financial Monitoring Agency, and the Border Service of the National Security Committee.
